Copyright

Copyright Music

This is music to which the creator has ownership over which is called the ‘Exclusive right’ and when an individual wants to use it they must first get permission from the creator/owner in order to use it. This is the copyright law is under the system of National laws and international copyright Treaties. The main purpose is to ensure that someone’s work is not to be stolen and used to make profit without the permission of the person with the exclusive rights of the work. If an individuals want to use someone’s copyrighted music they must first get a license from the person with exclusive rights to it or authorized agencies.

For my production I decided to go with non-copyright music since it is more easily accessible for me. This is because copyrighted music is hard to get permission to use as the agency or the individual who has the exclusive rights to the song or beat might take a long period to decide whether they want to allow me or not. Another reason I decided to use non-copyrighted music is because it is free since no body has the exclusive rights to it or they do not mind their music being used for free.

I used the YouTube channel no copyright music which is a popular YouTube channel which lets you use their music for free without permission. They state this in their YouTube description
The first none copyright song I choose was Fredji- happy life for my first advert and sponsorship and for my other advert I used Alan- fade. I picked these two songs because the beat went well with the theme of the video, the music faded in and out well.

Release and Consent Agreement:
This is a form which get the a persons consent before they are recorded for a video, this form is used to ensure that the cast does not get the video removed after it has been uploaded. I need to use this document as it will make sure that my advert is uploaded without any trouble and to also make sure that the cast agrees with the rules set to avoid danger.

Location

I will be shooting my first advert on Curzon Avenue which is near the school building. I choose to use this area as it is a quite area as well as being public walk path. This is good as I wanted a scene of two of my characters walking in a normal neighbor in order to relate to my audience more as they are supposed to be casual young adults or teenagers. This location also had many different platforms in which I could place the bottle on top in a way that my product could seem as though it is teleportation. The road is also quite long which is beneficial to me as I could make my scenes look different and show the distance that the characters traveled a lot better. Another reason I picked this road is that it was the safest road to record my advert as there wasn’t many vehicles about. This is beneficial as meant that there wasn’t much risks in recording in this area.

For my second advert I will be recording at my Oasis Hadley Academy gym. I choose this location as it was the only gym available for my advert in addition to this it also had safe equipment for me to use for my production. This is use since it will keep me and my crew safe as it will prevent us from harming each other accidentally. For example, the gym only had 4kg dumbbells. Another reason I choose this location is that I was in the school building meaning we only hand to follow the rules the school was already giving us. This beneficial as I did not have to explain all the rules to my cast since they knew the rules already. Furthermore, the natural lighting of the gym was good since it had a lot of transparent windows and mirrors reflecting the light onto the main character. The Gym was also accessible for me and my crew since the staff could trust us making it accessible for e and my crew.

My last advert which will be my sponsorship advert will be recorded in Oasis Hadley Academy parking lot. I picked this location because it is rarely used and has good setting for a jogging scene since the theme suggest it is extremely quiet. In addition to this the parking lot also has houses behind it which do not show any confidential information of the resident and it also has a white wall which I could use within my editing. I also choose this place as it would be a typical place to run when exercising it is also quiet and peaceful enough for me to record my advert.

Location Release form:
This document is required in order to get permission to record in a private or public area that your advert is going to take place at. This is important as the area i record is typically restricted meaning i need permission to record their. Making the location release agreement key since it is the reason i am able to record in my chosen locations. In addition to this creating a location forms helps me afford creating problems for the owners as it will allows me to explain my intents and reasons for using their chosen area.

In conclusion, by completing the pre-production paperwork i was able to analyse the risk of producing my portfolio in a safe way. Furthermore, my pre-production has also allowed me to make sure that i had permission to use my actors and locations from in production ensuring that i gained legal security. Overall my pre production was extreme useful since it enable me to ensure that my production can be done because it helped me eliminate and risks or obstacles which would have gotten in my way.
